Non RPG Interlude on Digital Comics

I was a bit skeptical about digital comics. I just much preferred the real deal. I'm a comics guy. I was a comics fan before I became an RPG fan. Much of my predelictions in RPGs, Lietature, and other entertainment are pretty heavily informed by comics. My life's goal at one point was to become a comic book artist/writer. That is until I found out that sequential art is serious work. Well, that and there are a lot of folks doing it that are a lot better suited to doing sequential art than I am. Alright, back on topic. Last summer I signed up for a Marvel Comics digital subscription. I have a tendancy to be a comic addict so I figured that at least I could get my fix without having even more boxes of comics taking up space. I didn't have much more faith in digital comics than that. I tell you, after the paying the $70 per year entrance fee, I found I now had access to an incredible number of Marvel Back Issues. Part of my compulsion in comics is that I'm a c

Perhaps an actual sustainable creative idea for me...

I'm getting the urge to actually do a full length comic book. I tend to get crazy urges like this that never really go anywhere so I need to be decisive and come up with a plan. And when I say these were my school reports, I mean from the time I was in third grade doing my first book reports all the way through to the time I graduated. This has been one of the more consistent interests in my life (along with -*surprise!!!*- comic books,

For whatever reson, I have been absent from the "blogosphere" for half a year. I originally intended this blog to track my gaming thoughts and project, but well, I've decided to change all of that. Mostly because, well, let's face it; I don't game any more. Not because I don't want to, mostly because the opporuntiy has not presented itself. So, what does that mean? I have quite a lot of interests and would like to widen the scope a bit. I love comics and have been quiet obsessed with collecting of late. I also have been trying to broaden the scope of my artwork beyond fantasy illustration. Lately, I've come across the concept of abstract comics. I find this to be rather intriguing and am doing some of my own experimentation in sequential art. I also have an avid interest in Pop and street art. I ran across an interesting blog by Andrei Molotiu about Abstract Comics (Here's the link: http://abstractcomics.blogspot.com/). I've ordered his
