Ah yes, Petty Gods is a most fun project to work on.  I give you two of my latest pieces for the Petty Gods Project - The Lady of Lost Angels and Loe-Hann, the Goddess of Licentious Behavior.  Enjoy!

Have a Petty Gods Easter

Heya gang, I hope everyone one is doing well.  It's been very busy here at Casa Bingham.  I've been doing tons of art for Expeditious Retreat Press, Stuart Marshall's latest OSRIC Companion book, and the resurrected Petty Gods OSR Project.  So yeah, I've been a rather busy boy lately (that's good) and with upcoming stuff like art for Gygax magazine, Delve!, and my Lamentations of the Flame Princess project (as well as some stuff for Tim Shorts - eh Tim?) and possibly a few more - my art should be getting around this year.  So just to prove that I'm not a complete slacker, here's a look at two of my Petty Gods:  Nebius the Shrouded Lord - God of Dismal Mists and Dreary Fogs and Iracaecus the Flaming Fury - God of Blind Rages.

On Petty Gods

James over at Grognardia has posted the cover art for his upcoming Petty Gods release . I'm pretty stoked about that cover. I'm even more honored to have three of my petty gods included (writeup and art). This should be a VERY cool addition to the body of work being put out by folks out there in the gaming community. My, we are a creative bunch aren't we? I do have several more Petty Gods that I with held from submission because they are going to be part of the campaign setting I'm working on (and yes, I picking away at it bits at a time - all the various things like the Sea of O'sr Maps, Basalt Keep of Wilven the Yellow, Warrens of Polstrus Lev, alternate magic systems, weekly creature feature, etc. are part of that picture).

Validation

I got my notice that all three of my Petty Gods submissions will be in James Maliszewski’s Petty Gods project. I love that I get to participate in something like this as I think it exemplifies the hobbyist DIY nature of the hobby. On occasion I read on various message boards that the hobby is dying, that 4e is a flop, or whatever the latest doom and gloom is. While I don’t think the hobby will get back to the glory days of the early/mid 1980’s, I think it has settled in and there are enough of us with kids that are passing the hobby along to the next generation. As long as there are hobbyist willing to continue to play and create new material, quite frankly it doesn't matter if the more commercial companies stop producing RPGs. But anyway, I digress. I am goofy excited to participate. It’s just a little validating to be able to contribute. Based upon what I’ve seen so far, It’s going to be awesome!
