New Art Stuff!!

Image
I've been a rather busy little bee knocking out artwork for various projects.  Here's the back cover piece for Advanced Adventures #28 Bitteroot Briar.  I think Daisey really nailed to color work on this one.  I've also been playing around with some ink wash and having a lot of fun with it.  Here's the frontispiece for Advanced Adventures #30 To End the Rising.   I'm pleased how it turned out.  Well, time to go back to the drawing board and knock out some more work ;)!

Cover Me!

I told yah I've been busy!  Here's the latest cover piece Daisey and I did for Expeditious Retreat Press's Advanced Adventures module The Doom of Red Rauthim .  I've got a few more to do for Joe Browning and I'm also hard at work in trying to complete my entry for the Wizards of the Coast A Series contest .  Then back to Delve!

More Art

Image
Heya gang, I'm still alive and kicking.  Most of my free time has been given over to doing art.  Here's one of my latest for Expeditious Retreat Press's Advanced Adventures line named Bitteroot Briar .  I've got plenty more to keep me busy so keep an eye out for more!

Whatever Happened to the Ostensible Cat?

Yes, I'm still around.  Real life has been very stressful of late due to work (Something that I don't see changing for the next year).  So I haven't been inclined to do much other than collapse into a quivering mass when I get home.  Well, that's not entirely true, I have been doing some work for Joe Browning at Expeditious Retreat Press.  Here's a peek at my latest cover for The Witch Mounds , an Advanced Adventures module for OSRIC/1e.  Anyway, gotta run.  Happy gaming everyone!

Benath the Heart of Empire Advanced Adventures Relased!

Image
Joe Browning over at Expeditious Retreat Press has announced the latest release in the Advanced Adventures line:  Beneath the Heart of Empire.  I had the pleasure of doing the art for this module.  Check out the spiffy job Daisey did on the color cover. Here's a look at the art for front and back covers: Speaking of spiffy color work, check out the latest post on Kobold Quarterly's blog .  More artisitc stylings by myself and Daisey. Can you name the old school D&D references in the picture?  Go over to Kobold Quarterly represent the Old School and sound off!

Stonepick Crossing from Expeditious Retreat Press

Image
Joe Browning just announced the latest Expeditious Retreat Press Advanced Adventure:  Stonepick Crossing .  I had a lot of fun doing the illustration work for that one.  Here's a look at the work I did for the covers with Daisey doing an amazing job as always on the color: I've been working on some other stuff too and am pretty excited about it.  But more on that soon ;)...

Advanced Adventures Riddle of Anadi for Sale

I am pretty pleased with the art on this one. You can read about it here . That is all ;).

Back Cover Work

Image
Here's the Back Cover work for the upcoming Expeditious Retreat Press Advanced Adventure Module: The Secret of Callair Hills: Read Joe Browning's blog post here . I did some preparatory scans at a couple of points during the process with the intent of making a blog post on how I do my work. Look for that soon.

Cover Work

Image
I'm primarily a B&W artist so I don't get a chance to do much cover work. I can do color, but I'll admit I'm not too adept at it. However, I've been teaming up with my wife Daisey (an incredible skilled artist in her own right) to bring a bit of color to my work. I'm very excited about the results. Here's one we've done for the cover of one of the latest Advanced Adventures by Expeditious Retreat Press You can also check it out at Joe Browning's blog here. Very cool!

Commissions

I've been pretty busy with the day job lately and just haven't had much time to focus on my art. I did, however, get commissioned to do 15 interior B&W pieces for Expeditious Retreat Press and their Advanced Adventures line. I've been actively working on the first piece which is due 15 March. I have eight follow up pieces due by 15 April. And the balance are due in May and June. So looks like I'll be busy for the foreseeable future at any rate. Hopefully I'll still have time to explore my sequential art experiments.
