Journey into madness

Yep, I am going to join the crowdfunding OSR RPG crazy train.  However, I am not going it alone.  I've signed on to be part of the Lamentations of the Flame Princess Grand Adventure Campaign!  Much like Delve!, I'm doing all of the writing/art/cartagraphy chores.  This adventure will be designed with the LotFP rule set in mind, but as with all the OSR rules, you can easily adaprt to your rule set of choice.  I've got a ton of work to do for this and there is a pretty impressive lineup (yeah, I gotta admit it's kinda intimidating, but exhilerating at the same time to be mentioned in the same company as these folks).  I've got lots of ideas that will fit in nicely with the LotFP feel.  I don't have much to share at the moment but watch this space for more!

Oh, back to Delve!  I've almost finished the cover and have some work to do on the interior art.  Delve! will for sure be "Weird Fantasy" as well, so if you like that sort of stuff, then I think (or at least hope) you will find something of use.  Initially I'll have a very limited print run but a pdf will be released for sale.  When I can get the whole printer/copier thing figured out, I'll do a more expansive print run.

    Woot. Johnathan just wanted to let you know I've been fighting with my computer and losing so that is the reason for my delay on getting back to you.

    Tim, I certainly understand and no hurries. I am still working on the art and I am going to order a laser printer so there are no hurries. Not to mention that I have a lot of work to do to prep my crowd funding project with James Raggi since he is officially kicking it off 1 July.

  Tl;dr: Kia ora all! I don’t often post much about my personal life, but as a parent of two neurodiverse teens, I reckoned that I’d post some of my experience in gaming here on our journey. My daughter was diagnosed with autism almost a year ago and my son is dyslexic/dysgraphia with ADHD like presentation. Both are incredibly bright and very different from each other (my son has lots of friends and is very bright and gregarious if also very lazy while my daughter is very retreating and shy but incredibly driven and motivated). They both love fantasy and fantasy literature, movies and gaming has been a way for us all to connect. Though often what works for one, doesn’t necessarily work for the other. I like pie!

Cyclopeatron made an interesting blog post which I tend to agree with. Most conent posts don't get responses but opinion posts do. I've noticed the trend in my own blogging as well. There is some incredibly interesting content being generated out there in OSR blog land. I think folks tend to react more to opinion pieces because no one really wants to 1) either say your stuff sucks on a blog post or 2) only say "that's cool man". I tell you what, I cherish the "that's cool man posts", it at tleast let's me know folks are paying attention. As to the your stuff sucks, well those are OK too as long as they tell me why they think my stuff sucks so I know how to try and improve it. At any rate, I like pie. It even tastes better when I had to kill an orc to get it ;).
